How does the treatment work?
A root canal usually lasts about 2 hours. You start by cleaning the dental crown by drilling away the infected tooth substance. Then the tooth is opened up to clean the root canals with narrow files and rinse clean with bactericidal liquid. When the cleaning is complete, the root canal is filled with special rubber tips and root filling cement.

In the center of the tooth is the pulp, the nerve of the tooth.
This nerve extends down through the roots of the tooth and out into the jawbone. If a tooth has died for some reason or if caries has reached the pulp and caused inflammation/infection, the nerve needs to be removed and the tooth filled with a root canal. This is to be able to keep the tooth without the infection spreading further.

Hon förklarade noggrant vad som behövde göras och försäkrade mig om att det inte skulle göra ont. När behandlingen började använde de bedövning och kontrollerade regelbundet om jag kände något obehag. Själva lagningen gick snabbt och smidigt, och jag blev positivt överraskad av hur bekvämt det kändes.
Efteråt kände jag knappt av att jag hade lagat en tand, och resultatet blev perfekt . Kliniken var också väldigt fräsch och fin, vilket gjorde upplevelsen ännu bättre. Jag är jättenöjd och kommer definitivt att återvända om jag behöver tandvård i framtiden!
