Common traditional braces consist of a visible metal wire that is attached to the teeth with the help of
plastic fasteners. The metal wire is tightened at regular intervals to allow the teeth to move in the bite
to the desired location. When the treatment is complete, the metal wire and plastic brackets are removed by the dentist.
Nowadays, in dentistry, we can offer our patients a discreet and comfortable method to
correct crooked teeth with so-called invisible braces<\/a>. The word align comes from the English and
means "straighten up". Aligners are thin, clear plastic aligners that are custom made to fit yours
teeth that you can easily take out and put in your mouth at any time.
Before a treatment can begin, a consultation with a dentist or orthodontist must be done
who is trained and certified in aligners.
